H&M is a pretty good place to find affordable tunics and leggings.

Boden had lovely tunics, but in truth, I find most of mine at boutiques.

@kjpugs: They do a plus size line now. I think their regular line goes up to like a 14.

I'm cheap about clothing, unless it's denim, an occasion outfit, or boots, so I usually get my sweaters and tunics from more inexpensive shops. I like Old Navy, Target, Forever21 (I only buy online, as I hate entering this hell hole), Loft Outlet, and the clearance racks at Gap and Banana.

@loveisstrange: Yeah, they do run insanely small. I'm petite and still wear a large. I only like them because of their insanely cheap prices, especially on accessories (hurray for scarves on sale for $5 a pop). I also can't be in one of their stores without trying to choke myself with a faux leather handbag - the clientele and staff are both equally obnoxious.

HUE leggings at nordstroms, pricey, but so comfy and durable... and the waist is high! perfect for post partum belly, w/o being maternity leggings!!!

I am in love with leggings + boots, but I have a hard time finding tops long enough to be appropriate with leggings. I have one chambray shirt and a couple sweaters that might work I it ever cools off. Doesn't help that I'm in that weird sizing in between regular and plus with big boobs. So most buttons downs do not work on me.

@kjpugs: Lol I am currently getting dressed, in leggings, and thought of this thread when I got your response. I was hoping someone would have ideas for me for longer shirts!

Could you do a long tank top with a shorter tunic over it? Then the tank could give you the extra length while the tunic would give the coverage you want? Old Navy has great tanks that are usually around $10 but go on sale for $5 pretty often. I wear them under everything. I went a size up on them once and it was long enough to cover my butt in leggings and I wore a chambray shirt they sold last year.

I'm super short and still have issues finding tunics that cover me the right way. I feel like they either look too long (like a dress) or they are too tight and don't give the right look, so I almost never wear leggings even though I would like to for the comfort!

Sounds like we have similar issues! My favorite tops right now to wear with leggings are actually plus-size swimsuit cover-ups from Target. They were super cute, and I got a bunch on sale right as summer was ending. They are the PERFECT length. I just have to wear a cardigan with them.
