I never did until one day, Bee pointed out that Olive touches the trash can a whole lot (she loves to throw things away). So now I wipe it down with water and vinegar a few times a week... and man, it sure does get dirty!
Do you wipe down your trash can? If so, how often?

Yes because ours is stainless steel so it needs it often.

Yes, I use Lysol disinfecting wipes. It's just DH and I right now it gets cleaned every 2 weeks or so.

every time I clean the kitchen, I wipe it down. It is stainless steel, so finger prints are very obvious. Plus, I drip stuff on it 
I don't do it so much to make it CLEAN but to look streak free/appear to be clean? I use a multi-purpose cleaner for shining things. I think it's Pledge? For shining glass, granite, and stainless steel.

Not as often as I ought to. It's white and is in our dining room instead of the kitchen, so I really ought to clean it more.

I clean it about once a week. The dirtiness starts to show if I neglect it.
