Yeah, I definitely wonder as there are people that added good content and a voice to our conversations. Although I know that one bee mentioned is on her again but changed her UN.

I do wonder and I miss a few! They added opinions that I liked to read here.
honeydew / 7230 posts
Yes! There was someone in particular I was very curious about and I just realized last week that she was still around, just under a new name and avatar!

I had wondered how MrsJacks was and I hope runsyellowlights is doing okay. There are a couple of other people I wonder about but I can't remember their avatars or usernames. Both of them posted while HB was still in beta and were very interesting posters. And by interesting I mean somehow their threads seem to gain a lot of posts initially--either drama filled or most HB users had a hard time identifying with the posts.

There is one in particular that had a life so far removed from most of us, but was so interesting to hear about--I wonder how she is doing, and how her LOs are.
There are a few others that I have been wondering about--especially bc of some online drama--that I hope aren't feeling unwelcome here!

@woodentulip: I think we're talking about the same person! Only you described it much nicer than I did, oops!

I am not as familiar with people on the boards but I have been reading the HB blog since the beginning and definitely wonder what happened to the bloggers who no longer write for the blog. I wish we could get a good-bye post or occasional update!
admin / wonderful grape / 20724 posts
@Veggiemama: We're reaching out to our older bloggers to ask for updates... looking to do a swarm on it at some point!
pomegranate / 3521 posts
I wonder about some of the same people mentioned.. Never thought they had different usernames... how did you figure out the new names? by their posts?
grapefruit / 4817 posts
I do and often write on their wall and let them know I'm thinking about them. Usually someone else has already written on their wall by then and I can see whats up anyways.
cantaloupe / 6923 posts
@Reese: You search their old username and it brings up old posts where other people tagged them in but their name is changed so you click on that and tada!!

I do wish Mrs.Scooter was still blogging. I have a hard time keeping up on everyone's user names but there are a few people I might notice if they dropped off.

@woodentulip: @mrsjazz: My nosy side is coming out. I just can't remember that far back for especially dramatic people/posts.
I wonder about several people, but mostly some of the bloggers. Like, Mrs. Scooter and Ms. Fairy Wings.
coconut / 8234 posts
@Weagle: I wish I could remember their usernames, haha. I'm not good with that stuff. One was a little dramatic and one was just living a different lifestyle, like swimming in the dough.
I have no idea who Mrs. Scooter or Ms. Fairy Wings are!
kiwi / 613 posts
@mrsjazz: that made me think of a poster wayyyy back when hellobee first started named ecogirl... She was totally swimming in dough and lived in NYC with a live in nanny and an older Japanese husband...I always thought her life seemed so cool! I wonder what happened to her!
coconut / 8234 posts
@CottonCandy: That's her! I want to know what she's doing or if she has a blog or something. I wanted to live her life sometimes because it is so not my reality (though I often wish it was!).
kiwi / 613 posts
@mrsjazz: omg how weird we were thinking of the same person!! Haha
I was always fascinated with her life!
coconut / 8498 posts
@CottonCandy: @mrsjazz: I remember her! She was really nice! And I totally would love to transport myself into her life, with DH and LO, of course

I have noticed that a few of the people mentioned already have been MIA. I hope they eventually come back!
pomelo / 5073 posts
I really miss it when people stop posting. I'm always checking back to see if they have shown back up. Btw, I did that annoying thing of name change and avatar change.
bananas / 9357 posts
I don't remember ecogirl but it's interesting going back and reading her old threads.
blogger / eggplant / 11551 posts
@mrskc: i'm now consumed by her old threads... such a fascinating life! and she does seem like the sweetest person.

I think people for sure get put in time out!
I also think it's great to have so many opinions represented on the site, I learn something new every day. The one thing, though, that stands out to me is tone. Some posters have blatantly said that they do not care how they come across and purposely use inflammatory language. I can not get behind that, no matter what the message.

@MrsMcD: @CottonCandy: @looch: We have never banned any members, besides spammers, scammers and obvious trolls. We also banned a "spellcaster" once who promised to cast love spells in exchange for money.
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@mrskc: @Mrs. High Heels: Ha I am going back and reading now too!
@mrbee: haha, a spellcaster
pineapple / 12802 posts
@mrbee: LOL. SPELLCASTER.
Sometimes, when the site is down, and I can't get on HB faster than lightening, I think I've been banned...
GOLD / pomegranate / 3688 posts
@mrbee: So the HB rules are different than WB re: banning? Not meaning to cause trouble, but I am genuinely curious about the policies.
honeydew / 7444 posts
@Mrs. High Heels: @mrskc: Haha, i ended up perusing through old posts as well...i think i admired her comments despite some pretty snarky responses!
I really miss Miss Scooter's posts as well! She had some really quality posts!
pineapple / 12802 posts
@septca: wedding bee and hello bee are not affiliated. Mr. & mrs. Bee sold WB a long time ago.
admin / wonderful grape / 20724 posts
@septca: I don't really know how WB works these days? But we don't ban members.
One big difference between Hellobee and most boards is that we don't have open registration. You have to be invited, or request an invitation to join. This has really helped keep things relatively simple here. Most problems on message boards are caused by a few people, who create a million accounts and make the whole site burst into flames.
blogger / eggplant / 11551 posts
@Freckles: i agree, she seems like a really nice person!
GOLD / pomegranate / 3688 posts
@.twist.: and @mrbee: I know and was referring to policies from a long time ago, but I should have been more clear.
@mrbee: You are right about the invitation system - I had forgotten about that! I am sure it makes a huge difference.
