If you include emails and board threads, then haha I write a lot!! But if you don't, then I don't write as much as I'd like.
I like writing longer essays/articles, which isn't something I really have an outlet for these days. I blog for Hellobee when Mrs. Bee needs an extra post, but blog posts tend to be pretty short. I miss having an outlet for longer essays/articles... so I'm going to start writing those again.
Do you write a lot? What's your outlet for your writing?

I used to blog for myself, then I got lazy but I did enjoy it! I have journaled off and on since college; that's a pretty good outlet.

I'm not very creative so if I wrote, it would be best if it were for my eyes only, like in a journal. I wouldn't want to bore anyone.

Not really. Now that I'm preggo, I have a spreadsheet that I document all my feelings and what not in it, but that's about it!

I love writing but I really don't get to do it as often as I'd like. I write for work - but not about the things I want to write about (I write about finance related issues - yawn). I like to write kids poetry - I thought about posting some here as an example but I chickened out in case the idea gets stolen by someone stumbling on this site ... but realistically I'm never going to do anything with the reams of stuff I've written so I don't know why I'm so worried!!!

I blog here as well as on my blog. I really enjoyed creative writing in school, and I have tried writing novels more than once when I was younger, but I feel like I only have so much creative brainpower (especially with kids) so I use it for my art and stick to writting nonfiction. I'd love to publish a books sometimes, fiction or non.

@mrbee: haha! Yes, I do. It's divided up into columns with what the day, date, and how far along I am followed by what I weigh today, what's my mood, my energy level, any cravings, morning sickness, feelings, etc. I fill it in every morning with my thoughts at that moment and anything I missed from yesterday. I'm at a computer all day so typing seemed easiest way for me to document everything. I keep thinking writing all of this down in a nice notebook/journal would be better, but I haven't gotten around to looking for/getting one so spreadsheet it is (for now)!

I used to write a LOT. My old xanga blog was a complete open book about my life and I wrote and wrote and wrote. But now? Not so much...Don't have time! But I do have a lot to say.

I used to write a ton, I even did NaNoWriMo (national novel writing month) a couple of times, but I've slacked big time since the baby. I really miss it.

@plantains: I did NaNoWriMo for the first time this year. I made it to 15 days. I'm actually still working on that novel slowly but surely now. So hard to write while working full-time and with LO here!
I love writing. I write for my day job, which sometimes sucks the drive to write when I get home. I mostly write poetry & fiction. I have a manuscript of poetry (wrote it for my MFA) and I'm working on a YA novel about organ transplants right now.

@mrsjazz: don't knock the muggle organs, I know someone who scored a book deal by ripping off Margaret Atwood big time and throwing in a bit of Hunger Games action for good measure. Ugh.

I write a lot for work, and that's often fun (in its own way, haha) and there is a lot of research involved which is cool too....but it's not the same as totally creative writing.
I used to write a lot for myself, and I have a lot of notebooks filled with scribbles and novel outlines and various chapters....but nothing concrete.
Now I just don't have much time - I work 8-5 (or longer), the evenings are filled with LO; I have a blog and other activities. Bah! Now I want to write. If only I wasn't so tired!

I write one sentence a day in a journal. It just has the date, the year, and then a sentence about the day, always having to do with lo because ill give it to her one day. My plan is to keep it up for years so under Jan 1st I can go down and see what different things I did on each different year.

I should write more but got discouraged when FIL went on and on making fun of bloggers. I shouldn't let others affect me so much.
