I do..I really rely on reviews so I try to write them too! ETA not for yelp but for clothing sites.

I generally do. I've been an Elite member on there for 7 years.

I don't.

@Raindrop: I've made some great friends through it. There's an old school event coming up where I get to see some old friends.

@cascademom: Cool One of my friends was an elite a while ago and went to the yelp xmas event with him (a long time ago) and I saw 2 high school friends there... so random. He has since lost his elite status because he got too busy and it's tough.

I write a lot of them on Trip Advisor. Otherwise, I only write reviews if I have VERY positive or VERY negative experiences.

Occasionally on TripAdvisor. But I don't like to spend a lot of time doing that stuff, especially for small-scale purchases. If someone really wants me to spend my time enhancing their web site -- and let's face it, reviews are a form of enhancement -- then I would need to be paid for my time, or it would have to be a non-profit that is benefiting from my contribution.

I've never used Yelp, but I do try and leave reviews when I can because I find them helpful when I am trying to compare products.
