Ours do not. They work more than 40 hours a week (from what I can see) and they have told me that they don't get paid for the days daycare closes. But we pay for those days. So, we figured it up. If there are 15 kids in each room and there are 5 rooms, the daycare owners are raking in $36,000 for not being open for those days they have as holidays each year.

I'm not sure how I feel about this...even though I *think* it's standard practice?

Note: this is just for child care centers, not nannies, in home situations, etc.
