This has happened twice this week! I love it, but sometimes I'm curious what will happen in the book so I just keep reading on my own.
Do your kids ever fall asleep while you're reading them books?

Apparently this was my MIL's strategy for putting her kids to bed when they were little. She would just read to them until they fell asleep in bed with her. I can't imagine how many books that would take. I'm pretty sure that would never work for my kids, but right now they nurse almost all the way to sleep. Maybe someday I'll try it!

It's happened with my son a couple of times. He's 4 and loves reading, but if he is super sleepy he will fall asleep no matter what! And @twodoghouse: there's hope! When he was small he always nursed to sleep. I was sure he would be some sort of insomniac child, but he's not!

@twodoghouse: My son wasn't going down that well recently so I doubled the length of bedtime stories. He started falling asleep a lot more easily - I guess it helps settle him!
