Our kids just got over a cold, and got tons of screentime while they were getting better! I don't worry about it too much though, since there's a finite length of time involved. I definitely feel cooped up though!

Yes. She usually asks for it more because we're cooped up inside and we give in because she normally doesn't ask.

Yup, and when I'm sick, too. (Or when I'm too exhausted/sore to move since I'm in the 3rd tri now)

DD1 did when she had pneumonia because she had zero energy. Otherwise, the kids are usually still fine to play and do things normally. They're just crankier!

Oh yes. LO has only gotten sick once in his year & a half of life but when he did..it was a doozy. We couldn't get him to do much of anything other than lay in our laps and snuggle so we watched a LOT of movies. I have no bad feelings about it at all, I enjoyed all of the snuggle time!

LO never gets screen time but she just had the worst flu for a whole week and was in the ER. Screen time helped to keep her from sobbing 
I was glad something did!

Not yet (LO is 2.5), but it's partially selfish....after a few days of extra screen time, she turns into a total maniac and it takes about a week to wean her off of it. It's a DREADFUL week, involving screaming and fits, so it's just easier to keep our rules consistent all the time. I can't wait until she's older and we can pop in a movie and not have it turn into a "thing" after she's well again!

J doesn't have any screen time yet, but I imagine that as he gets older he'll definitely get more when he's sick! I remember watching a TON of television when I got sick growing up, something about just laying around on the couch seems to help a lot!

yes, it's the only way to get her to sit still and relax instead of running crazy.
