When the kids were younger, they loved hearing the same books over and over! Our son just turned five though, and he has a real hunger for new books and stories. He made the switch at some point between 3 and 4 years of age. Our daughter still likes to hear the same stories over and over though... she's 3 and can't get enough of the various Mo Willems books.
Do your kids like to read different books every day, or have the same books read to them every day? ETA: How old are your kids?

She brings me the same two books off the shelf a million times a day & wants them read at least twice in a row before we can move on. One of them isn't even a story, it's just a book of first words. I hid it from her yesterday because I couldn't take any more lol

J's almost two and she loves reading the same ones over and over and over and over again. I've had to start hiding some of them, because I can only handle so much repetition! Luckily, she's started reading "on her own." So after I read a book a couple times to her (in one sitting, of course), she'll take the book and go read it by herself.

LO is 18 months and she loves books any way you give'em! She just looooves books so much. It's cute, at the library she will carry around new books but also find all the books we have read to her before.

DS is almost 2 and wants to read the same ones over and over, despite me buying new ones. Lol Eventually, I get bored of them and rotate them to another shelf that he doesn't look at for awhile.

DD1 is 4.5 and we've switched to reading chapter books for her so that's a little different. DD2 is almost 2 and likes the same ones over and over until she's over them and then she'll pick new ones to read over and over.

He's 2.5 and he is willing to read new books as long as they interest him. He loves books about garbage trucks- so if I get those from the library he'll devour them. It has to be a subject he's interested in to read new books. Otherwise he does like to cycle through his favorites.

During the day, she hands me all of her books one at a time - although she's more likely to sit to the end of an old favourite before getting off my lap to fetch another. At night, she wants the same book (Where's Spot).
