closed here!! I am not chancing anything waking them up....my dog paces at night and his nails are so annoyingly loud.

Her door closed, our door open. Our rooms are directly across the hall from one another.

@mfa_lady: same here! kids' doors closed, our door is open.
I started turning off our monitor at night, but our house is small so I can still hear the kids if they start fussing or get up in the middle of the night.

@HabesBabe: Yep--same! I actually never use the sound part--I just use the video part so I can check on her/see when she actually stops playing and settles down to sleep. Ha!

Closed. I was told as a child to always sleep with doors closed in case of fire so that's stuck with me.

Closed. She doesn't like the dog to come in her room at night so she asks me to close the doors.

Definitely closed - we live in a small apartment so he would never go to sleep if it was open!
Our door is open though because I need to be able to hear when he gets up in the morning.

Open bc we need to get a new knob on her door. Maybe this weekend will be the one lol. She uses white noise so nothing really wakes her.

Closed- her room is very close to the kitchen and living room where we are always doing stuff after she goes to bed. Even with white noise the lights and sounds would keep her up. Our door is usually open but not for any real reason.
In the winter we do open her door a few inches when we go to bed because it gets coldest in room and the air circulation helps.

Both kids closed. Our door is open just so that LO doesn't have to turn the handle to come in.

Closed (with white noise blasting). I'm super paranoid about waking them up.

His is closed, ours is cracked open (so he can come in if he ever wants to but blocks most of the light from the hallway built in nightlight).

Closed!!
Funny, tonight for the first time ever he told me to leave his door open. I said no.

Theirs closed, ours closed. Too small of a house to keep things open.

All doors closed-- hers because it makes it quieter, ours because we keep the dogs in our room at night (less chance of them getting into trouble!)

Both doors closed. We can still hear him, though, and he can open the doors and come into our room if he needs something (he usually wakes up before us and comes in asking for a diaper change). He would never go to sleep with the doors open....and even if I wanted them open he'd turn around and close them. He hates open doors...
