Since Charlie started public school, the sneakers that he wears to school get absolutely destroyed! Maybe it's because he's at the playground every day running around. They get dirty, worn, torn... I used to be able to hand down all of his sneakers to Olive, but now they are looking so raggedy I don't think I can.
Barring outgrowing them, how long do your LO's shoes last?

Yes, I threw away a pair on Friday! (5 months of wear?) I bought the same pair/same size when they went on clearance!

Yes! Our son also goes to the playground every day, and since we also walk everywhere his shoes take a beating. We actually just bought him new sneakers today!

Yep! Forget about reselling, all their daycare sneakers are going in the trash! N's feet don't seem to grow that fast so she's usually in the same size for quite awhile. J's been in the same shoes for the last 8 months too!

DD1's uniform calls for all-white shoes... they lasted all 10 months of kindergarten and were pretty beat up by the end of the school year. She went half a size up over the summer... I guess I'll be buying a pair each fall at this point, and DD2 and DS will get new shoes at the start of each grade.

We've been really lucky with Keens. She plays hard. She's been wearing the same pair of Keens since October and they're still in great shape, they're just a little faded. ETA: But her sneakers she wore took a much worse beating than the Keens. I'm hooked.

Yes, her daycare shoes are always a wreck. I buy her a pair for there and a pair for home/weekends. otherwise they look so raggedy it's embarrassing.

they get totally trashed. there are a couple that i will reuse for future kiddos, but no idea how people resell shoes that their kids actually wear!
