Our cat will sometimes cry randomly during the day to "announce herself" or if she wants me to sit down so she can sit on my lap. She usually cries once a night too, and when she hears DH get out of bed. I'm a little concerned that this will wake the baby. Do your pets wake up your LO?

This is why we don't have pets
I am a super light sleeper and when we fostered cats for 7 months, the sleep factor was the main reason we didn't end up adopting them. Cats are nocturnal and these guys were no exception, every morning at 4:30am like clockwork they were meowing like crazy and jumping on us until we got up. Since we want to have kids I figured we didn't need the extra sleep interruption for us or our future baby.
If we had a house though, things would be different. You can always confine your cat to the basement or laundry room while you're sleeping. Not possible in an 800 sq ft apartment!

My kids don't even wake up when the garbage men come and our two big dogs go crazy barking out the window.
If you're concerned, you can always use white noise while they're sleeping to help mask the noise.

My LO is used to the dog barking I think. Every time the mailman comes, he barks and barks but the baby sleeps right through!!
Now, if it's another persons dog or loud noise, he startles but rarely wakes up, he puts himself back to sleep.

Depends. Today someone knocked and he barked very loudly, but she stayed asleep. But the other day he randomly went into her room, didn't make any noise, and she woke up.
