We got a kitten last year, and since she was brought up around kids she will just lay there while the girls pet her, put toys on her, and cover her with blankets. However, we have a 5 year old cat who will run if the girls get within a few feet of her. She really doesn't tolerate them well at all.

My dog always wants to lick DD's face! DD learned how to push her face away haha. The dog always get yelled at nowadays b/c of DD!

Our dog loves DD! I taught her from the start to be very gentle, they both are to one another.

God they are mutually obsessed with one another. The bigger one gets a little more cautious but the tiny one despite being grabbed can't get enough! She always wants to lick his mouth and he leans in and opens! Cute yet disgusting.

One of our dogs has basically tried to stay away from lo (except when she's eating!) since she became mobile, and the other looooves lo and will let her do anything to her, haha. What's funny though is that the dogs have totally switched in how they react to lo from when we first brought lo home. the one who stays away now was very sweet and protective at first, and would often even chase the other one out of the room, and the one who is always there now was completely confused by lo. we joked that she didn't understand why the new puppy/baby wouldn't play with her

Our dog is tiny so she's a little nervous around DD now DD is bigger. She is right to be wary though because E pushed her down the stairs today. 
She wasn't trying to be cruel, she just wanted her to go down first.... but my MIL (the adult present) couldn't stop her falling. Poor dog.

Cat 1- Probably hasn't been seen by LO in a month or more. She seems to have our routine down pat and magically disappears and appears according to when LO is out of the room
Cat 2- Goes about his business despite LO, but she shrieks (happily) every time she spots him then he runs and hides.
Dog- Really wishes this whole child experiment was over and we could just ship her back already. (She looooves him. We have to spend a lot of time protecting him from less-than-gentle petting and from her insistence that she should be allowed to ride him. He doesn't run away. Just waits for us to step in and gives me a look like "whyyyyyyyy")

Our dog doesn't care for DS and will actually high tail the opposite direction if he sees DS coming. Now that DS is a bit older, the dog is a bit more tolerant of him, but would rather not be in his company.
It's sad/sucks bc DS LOVES LOVES LOVES animals, especially dogs!

Cat 1 - loves LO, things she is his personal human and is training her to be the best cat petter there ever was.
Cat 2 - will only let LO pet him if he's in a really good sun spot and needs to muster up the energy to leave, otherwise he sees her coming and runs.
Dog 1 - Enjoys licking her in the face and sometimes eyeballs which LO does not like. Finally is realizing she's a tiny human and not a puppy, and is not sure how to deal with this. I'm pretty sure once she learns to throw a ball for him they will be BFFs.
Dog 2 - Her "dogmother" (her adoption day and my LMP for dating LO's pregnancy are the same, we got her because we had a hard time conceiving after m/c so I credit her to our success). Generally neutral and will tolerate petting but is wary of anything unsupervised or too long. Before LO got pinchy and mobile though she would follow us around everywhere.
Both dogs love that LO throws her food over when she's done eating or bored (she thinks it's hilarious to watch them eat her food) and usually has food on her face/hands to lick. She's growing on them.
WE do keep really careful boundaries with the dogs though, because one is a herding mix and they're both rescues and dogs will be dogs! So LO is only running around with the dogs when we are with her 1:1.

The cat was *very* protective of LO when she was a baby (she would sit in front of me while I was holding LO and growl at anyone but DH if they tried to come up to me/LO). Kitty definitely loves LO in her own special, insane-kitty way, which doesn’t translate to affection or interaction. They pretty much just leave each other alone, even when they both are snuggled up on top of me. LO likes feeding the cat treats, which sometimes she’ll eat and sometimes she’ll purposefully ignore to be a jerk
