so i decided to get the air ducts cleaned in this house. not sure how old the system is but it's never been cleaned. so the air ducts are nasty dusty and rusty and there's mold growing in the a/c unit, since the mold acts as a sponge. gross! we've been breathing this crap for a year. i knew the house was nasty dusty cuz we'd vacuum and it will fill our dyson with nastiness. and then if we vacuum the next day, fills up with dust again. anyway, the landlord won't pay for the cleaning so even though i think he's 100% liable, we're going to just pay for it for the sake of our kids. anyways, they are always having runny noses. and sometimes, they just cough a lot if they exert too much energy. i swear it's the dusty mold! the landlord is a pediatric resident and he says kids get upper respiratory infections 8-10 times a year and don't develop allergies until like 2 or so. my kids are a year and a half. i don't think he's the brightest tool in the shed, so i don't take his word for it. what do you think? waiting for a call from my ped.
