I am starting to bring together plans for nursery #2. DD has her own room, both bedrooms are 10x12 and space seems to go quick, I opted to put the change table in our spare bedroom as we rarely have anyone stay over (moved it into her room when we did) and when baby #2 comes I figured it would be used more often in there once converted to nursery. I am now debating this.

If #2 is napping, I will have to change DD elsewhere, not a huge deal, but it made me think about our bathroom. Our main bathroom (between both kid rooms) has an insane amount of counter space on either side of the one sink. I measured last night and it's like one and a half change pad lengths of counter on either side of the sink. If I did a change pad on one side, the toilet is at the edge of that counter. Drawers underneath, store stuff in there, plop poops in toilet (we CD and already walk to it following change to dump).

Is it totally gross to do it on this counter? I realize this question isn't an actual problem, just wondering if I am completely out to lunch thinking about kicking the change table to the curb, or at least to the basement until we figure out we can work without it?

PS we live in a bungalow so this would be our one changing spot, I only ever change DD in one spot currently.

PS#2 This is our main bathroom anyone visiting would use. When not changing kids I could easily stand the change pad in the space between cupboards/counter and toilet right at that spot.
