I use Ziplist for recipe-gathering and grocery-list-making. It has a meal planner but I don't use that aspect of it. But just the recipe storage and grocery list parts alone make me love it. It's web-based and has an app. It has revolutionized my grocery shopping!

I was never a fan of e meals. Lots I know have signed up and didn't use it.
I use pepper plate which is free and it allows me to organize my recipes (DH is picky), plan a menu and then create a shopping list. All in one place.
