I love it but my DH hates it....he won't eat my chicken soup because he thinks I added too much celery and the smell makes him sick.
I also have a few friends with celery aversions! I don't get it...hahha!

what the what? I can get not particularly liking it… but it doesn't hardly taste like anything so what is so objectionable?

I only can eat celery when it's cooked. I don't like it raw. I actually really love celery in soup though!

@Mae: For me at least, it's the texture raw... I don't know something about it lol!

@Mae: lol exactly - it barely had a taste!
I don't mind celery, but the only time I particularly want it is with homemade pimento cheese

@Mae: I doubled the celery in my soup because I wanted to use it up....lol!

Interesting... To me it's nearly tasteless! I like it with peanut butter and I use it in a lot of soups.

I don't love celery on its own, but I am happy to eat it in/with anything! I've never heard of a celery aversion.

Nope! I like it with blue cheese, cream cheese, peanut butter, in tuna, soups, etc. DH absolutely hates it, though! Raw or cooked, he won't eat it.

I don't eat it raw because I find you have to chew...and chew...and chew...to get it down and that drives me crazy, but I love it cooked in dishes. It adds a distinctive flavor.

@IRunForFun: Celery with cream cheese is so good!

I like it as a guilt free vehicle for getting peanut butter into my face

I don't like raw celery (like as sticks) but love it cooked, especially celery root, YUM!

I find celery has a very unique taste?
I like it raw (especially super crispy!) or cooked. But I've only had it cooked as an add-in to a recipe, not as a star attraction (for instance, in stew, or sloppy joes).
You've made me hungry for it now, so I just ate some raw with ranch dressing

I dislike celery raw unless it's with buffalo wings and bleu cheese. I don't mind it in soups after it's been cooked so long that it has no flavor!

My DH hates it too! I like it, especially with peanut butter but he hates it with a passion. I always find that hilarious! His mom specifically makes Thanksgiving stuffing without it because of him.

Eating raw celery makes my mouth itch. I still eat it raw (in between bites of other foods) and especially love it in chicken soup.

I loooooove celery. In kindergarten it was all I asked for as my snack for school. Love it!!!

Eww, I hate celery. I think it has a super strong, bitter taste. I'll only eat it in soup when it's tasteless.
ETA: I particularly hate celery in something soft, like tuna or chicken salad. It really grosses me out to eat something soft and suddenly have it crunch. Ugh.

Yuck. Don't like it raw or cooked. I will pick it out of chicken noodle soup or any other soup its in.

If I can taste it, it usually grosses me out. So when I recipe calls for it I usually only use half as much.
