I swear, O is worse than my period these days. Excuse the gory details, but I've had horrible cramps and diarrhea for 2 days. I even pulled out the heating pad last night and took ibuprofen so I could fall asleep. I feel like crap.
Anyone else have painful O? What helps?

I have really sharp ovulation pains that last several hours and I often get nausea. Ugh!

My last one was painful, but now I'm wondering if I didn't ovulate and have a cyst instead. It was thanksgiving and I ended up laying down most of the day with a heating pad. It didn't hurt if I was laying down, but as soon as I stood up it was like my ovary felt exceptionally heavy and painful.
You might want to stay away from ibuprofen and try tyelenol instead. NSAIDs work by decreasing swelling in your body and well, ovulation is basically swelling so you're working against it.
But I opened the thread because the "crappiest" thing about O for me is my moods. I get INCREDIBLY irritable. Which seems so wrong. DH drives me CRAZY!

Yes - I get horrible cramps worse than my period, incredibly bloated, and am sooo bitchy. Really puts me in the mood. NOT.
I get pretty big cysts after ovulation - shown by early pregnancy ultrasound. So I sort of wonder if that's why I have painful ovulation.

Doesn't happen every month, but I do get sharp ovulation pains and I feel like I'm going to burst, so much bloating!
I haven't noticed any mood changes but I might try to pay closer attention this month.

YES! I had it wake me up in the middle of the night once it hurt so bad. It's worse than period cramps for me. It's certainly a blessing and a curse!

Mine seems to last from morning until lunch time. But it feels like a kidney infection!

I haven't been tracking my cycles but suspected I ovulated two weeks ago, I felt horrible, was cramping and acting like a crazy person. Then sure enough I got my period today. Maybe it will be an easy way to predict ovulation if we TTC again?

Oh yes. I needed to drop into a chemist to find something for the pain & the lady working thought it sounded like appendicitis 
Heating and ginger tea helps, mild nausea that comes with it is a PITA!

Only after having lo have i noticed it! Feels like a kidney infection and light nausea. It hasn't been unbearable but I've taken motrin and I mostly forget about it.

Does anyone bleed during ovulation? I don't get pains but will have bloody discharge for a couple days.
