Yep! We gave him one at 2.5 weeks, and after being exclusively bottle fed him using a paci to help strengthen his suck allowed us to breastfeed successfully. Now he takes it sporadically when he is overtired.

She got one in the hospital, around 1 day old. Now she only uses them for nap and night.

He got one in the hospital at a day old. We give it to him to calm him while we're prepping a bottle and sometimes after a bottle to try to determine if he's truly still hungry or if he just needs to suck more. He also takes it when he's gassy. Sucking provides comfort and it helps calm him while he passes gas.

Nope, she wants nothing to do with them. Every once n a blue moon she will take a soothie if I hold it in her mouth for a couple minutes if she is hungry and we are in the car.

No. We tried early and often, but she didn't want it. She's a thumb sucker.

At one week (per ped's recommendation) we gave DS a paci. It worked like a charm for about six weeks until he lost interest. Now he'll suck on it if you hold it to his mouth, which kinda defeats the purpose of the paci in the first place!

We tried to give it to them at 2 weeks. Worked for DD, not for DS. It took using a different kind of paci at 1 month for it to work for him. (Side note- Mam pacis are the best!)

She did... started at 2 weeks b/c we couldn't comfort nurse. She weaned herself at 7 months & we just comfort nurse whenever she wants now.

We started to try around six weeks, he is now 9 weeks. It took about a week to find one he liked but he will rarely take it. Mostly only at bedtime but he needs help keeping it in his mouth. The rest of the time when we try he coughs and shoves it out of his mouth.

Nope, wants nothing to do with it, she prefers the real thing lol. We gave up trying around 5 weeks

No. She did on occasion form 2-4 weeks, but not since then. She loves playing with them, though!

No. We tried at 3 weeks and now at 5 we keep trying but she isn't interested! Only my boob will do. Ack.

No, we never tried one. I didn't actively choose to not let him have a paci, we were just never given one and never really thought to buy one. He does fine without--sometimes sucks his thumb/fingers.

we waited almost 8 weeks to give it and he took it no problem he loves it actually and takes any one we give him. now he is 6.5 months and i am starting to wean him off it.
