I really like this year's Dillard's Lady in Red and Wild About Merry ornaments. The color schemes are a cheerful red and bright green. My home decor does not have any of these colors. I don't want my tree to look out of place. I was thinking I could add some holiday pillows to the mix so the couch wouldn't be a total disconnect from the tree.

It does this year, my tree is turquoise, lime green, pink, purple and white. I have a lot of white in my house and my living room rug is green.

It coordinates, but that's because all the ornaments are white/silver/gold - so it would coordinate with anything

No, but I don't really have "decor". We still live in a mish mash decorated apartment. Our Christmas decor all matches though

But, it matches. It's Christmas and I put other Christmas stuff up in the house so it goes with the other Christmas stuff.

It only matches in the sense that the rest of the house has no theme, either. We just put things up that we like, without worrying too much about how it goes with everything else.
Pretty much everything in my house is like that...including the dishes.

No, our living room is all leaf greens and browns. The tree has red ribbon and accents. It goes together in that there is a ton of other red Christmas decorations up as well.

All our decor is super neutral so it doesn't match (my tree is not chocolate brown and beige!) but it doesn't look out of place.

Sort of, my living room is black, white, plum ,with tan couches. My tree is gold and purple.

I hate themed trees (don't burn me at the stake!) so I guess our tree doesn't match or coordinate. Our home style is mostly mid-century modern, with toddler crap all over the place. The tree has white and colored lights and whatever ornaments I find that I love.

After my LO's light chomping scare, our tree has been bare. DH put up some straw and felt ornaments with DD the other day, but most are on the ground now. I've postponed our official tree decorating until next year!

I think part of my hesistation is that the green and red color scheme is SO Christmas. I still want the tree to feel like me. I'm going to stop by Dillards and spend some time really figuring out if I should add the red ornaments. I definitely love the green though.

I spend most of my days wiping up LOs drool and vacuuming cat hairs so matching decor is out of the question at this stage

Um, I guess it goes with my living room. My tree doesn't have a theme. It's white lights and meaningful ornaments.

Yes, the tree goes fairly well with our decor - at least in terms of colors. Whites, metallics, and neutrals. A couple of pops of red here and there. I can't ever bring myself to do a really colorful tree.

I don't try to match my Christmas tree with my home decor. The majority of my ornaments are keepsakes and they don't match, but I love it anyways!
@yoursilverlining: lol me too! I just never understood themed trees, but my mom never did it so that's probably why.

I didn't even know matching your christmas tree to your home decor was something people did in their homes until I was an adult.. Our tree growing up was always a mix of probably 40 years worth of random ornaments and tinsel, and I loved it.

We're not into "themed" trees either, so our tree is just a mix of ornaments that mean something to us. There's no color scheme, so I figure it goes with anything

I have light green accents in my home and my tree ornaments are the same color along with some silver ornaments.
That was a bad choice though because when the lights are on, the silver blends in with the lights and the green blends in with the tree. Le sigh
