DH says that especially while DS is so young (18 wks), he's going with the "whatever you think babe" attitude as far as feeding/sleeping/etc.
He says he'll have more of an opinion as DS gets older in the way we parent together.
It works for us-- since I'm totally the A-type as we get DS more on a schedule throughout his first year.

@mrsjyw: Our parenting is the same. I pretty much make the decisions. If he ever questions something (like BF'ing when it has gotten stressful), I ask him if he's read up on it and that pretty much puts the ball back in my court 
He just doesn't peruse books or sites like this for advice on sleeping, eating, etc. I'm sure it will change when LO is a little older.

DH does have a say..... but I do have more of a say. I'm a SAHM so I'm with LO all day long. I know what her schedule is, her routines, what's going on in her daily life. Plus I'm a big researcher, so I'll research what I want and then tell DH. And then he can say yes or no.

I wish that he would have more of a say, but since I'm a SAHM it makes the most sense having me making the decisions. But sometimes I wish I didn't have to decide everything.

If he cared as much as I did, we'd have an equal say. I spend a lot of time reading up on all things baby/child related though, so I'm really the only one with an 'educated' opinion. He's pretty good about trusting my decisions (like cloth diapering...)

He does but as a SAHM I have more of a say. We have gotten into arguments a couple times when I didn't go with his opinion though!

He does have a say but in the beginning he was definitely okay with going with whatever I wanted, especially when it came to feeding her. He's still letting me make most of the decisions since I'm a SAHM and with her all day though.

DH now asks "what does your baby blog say? " So basically whatever I selectively choose to share with him from HB will go during the infancy stage. DH has definite opinions about raising children. He wants us to be Tiger parents.

DH and I discuss all the big stuff and come to decisions together. With little stuff, whoever is handling it at the time makes the decision. Luckily, we're usually always on the same page.

DH is pretty much clueless when it comes to babies. So, when DS makes his appearance I think I will make the majority of the decisions while he is young. DH has strong opinions about work ethic/education/etc. for when DS gets older so he will gradually have more of a say as time passes. For now, I think he trusts me and my research to decide what's best for our son.

When it comes to gear, DH leaves that to me for the most part, but in terms of parenting policies and practices, he is right up there and has definite opinions on stuff. It's good usually, but sometimes he gets frustrated by all the information out there and wants to decide that we're going to pick one source and go with it, which I think makes no sense, whereas I pick up information from all kinds of places and try to figure out what works best for us.

Lo is 6 months old so dh still takes me lead about her schedule since I'm a SAHM and I know her routine. When she's older and not breastfeeding etc he'll take more control and not rely on me to make the decisions.

Same as above I SAH so he often defers to my opinions since I see him the most and see the effects of changes more. However we make joint decisions and try to research and discuss anything big like sleep training or when to start solids. I feel like we're a team which is important to me.
