For anyone is your family that cares for your child in anyway, even if it's just a couple of hours of babysitting, do they know any life saving techniques like CPR or the Heimlich?
I think my MIL is the only one, other than us which is part why I don't ask others to babysit often, you just never know!

My husband is CPR certified because he is a Phy Ed teacher. My dad is a police officer, so he is, as well. My sister and brother in law are both studying to be nurses, so they are cerified, too!

Yes we had an instructor come to our house and certify my Mom, MIL and babysitter

I don't really know, if others in our family know CPR, but DH and I took infant CPR while I was pregnant. After a brief choking incident with LO yesterday, I think we'd like to do a refresher or recertification class, especially since she's past infant stage. It didn't require any specific techniques, but was scary for a moment.
