We had dessert at home one time almost a month ago and she still asks for dessert nearly nightly. Not a habit I wanted to start! (She gets treats at other times and we don't often call it dessert).

Sometimes. But I usually just say sure here's a banana and he's good with that haha

@Mrs. Champagne: I gave her strawberries lightly drizzled with honey. Seemed good to me!

Every night. But we are ok having dessert every night. It ranges from things like yogurt/frozen yogurt to some form of chocolate or cake/cookie.

My son asks for stuff all the time and I just say no. But I randomly give him small treats like a marshmallow or a few fruit snacks out of the blue so he doesn't really fuss when I say no since he gets stuff on the regular. That said, he LOVVVVVES Costco cuz he shares a froyo with DH and pretty frequently asks us if we are going to Costco if we are in the car driving somewhere.

They can have a sweet either after school or after dinner each night - but not both (which DD also tries to do - ha)

Not yet--I don't think she knows that word. Sometimes she will ask for something in particular, like a piece of candy. We don't keep candy in the house so it's not often...but sometimes kids at school send home goody bags for their birthdays and she will ask to eat something.

Sometimes he asks for ice cream, or a "yogurt sundae" (plain yogurt with a little bit of jam and a sprinkle of Corn Pops). I usually say yes, as long as he's eaten a reasonable amount of dinner, because it's small servings and not every day.

No... I mean once in a while she asks for a "snack". She gets fruit after dinner and that's it. Once in a while she finds snacks that we left out from earlier and if she found it, it's my own fault and I'll her eat it haha.
She knows we have ice-cream in the freezer; I'm surprised she doesn't ask for it more often!

Almost always these days (she's 3.5). But we have done a good job convincing her that fruit is a reasonable dessert. She gets a "treat" for dessert a couple times a week (a small piece of dark chocolate, a cookie, that sort of thing). Sometimes she doesn't ask, and we don't offer.

I've intentionally avoided that word with my LO to avoid the question. She does, however, ask for an ice cream cone almost daily (at random times of the day) since she knows there is ice cream in the freezer. I let her have a tiny ice cream cone several times a week.
