Both my kids cry a bit for naps but not much at bedtime.

Never at bedtime and only at naps when she was transitioning from 2 to 1. But now that she's down to just one nap a day, she's too exhausted to even think about crying.

Nope. She fusses right before she goes down, but once I put her down she smiles. "Thanks mom!"

sometimes she'll start to cry if we go in her room for anything and she's not tired - it's like she thinks i'm going to put her in her crib! kind of sad, haha.
when she's tired, she doesn't protest. she newly rolls back to front, so lately she's been crying about 15m in when she's stuck on her belly, or tangled in her blanket, or loses her binky. she forgets she can roll belly to back!

She cries during the pre-bed routine. Lotion and pj's she's all whiny, the second we move toward the bed she stops.

Not usually. We nurse to sleep... or very very drowsy heavy eyed almost asleep.

@sorrycharlie: E gets like that when we go into his room too! It's kind of funny but it also makes me feel bad lol. I've been trying to fold his laundry in there while he just plays in his crib...with toys, with the lights on...so that he can get used to being in there for non-sleeping too but I forget a lot of the time!
Since we sleep trained a month and a half ago he doesn't cry for bed. We're in the middle of nap training right now. Before we started he'd cry if we didn't put him down already in a deep sleep but for the nap that he's taking right now he only whined for 2 minutes. Success!

I remember reading a thread like this when he was younger and thinking he'd be fighting sleep until he went to college! Fortunately he now puts himself to sleep for night and naps and normally only cries if a limb is stuck between the rungs or if he gets into a light sleep while nursing and then wakes up when I transfer.

Ever since transitioning to the toddler rail, LO has been a nightmare at bedtime. He cries and tries to stall every single night. Luckily he goes down for his naps just fine.

Same, LO falls asleep on the changing table before bedtime.

Nope. My 19 month old asks to go to bed, then marches into her room, lays down on her bed, and then starts directing us through the various parts of her routine. She loves to sleep - it makes me feel like the year+ of crappy sleep that we lasted through because we don't believe in CIO was really worth it. Crappy then - awesome now.

Never at bedtime but always for naps if daddy puts her down.

She has gone through phases where she cries for a couple of minutes before going down, but not recently. Usually she's really good at bedtime. She does cry at bedtime though when we're on vacation and she's going to bed somewhere new...

He used to, it was a stress reliever for him, because he would cry in our arms.

it used to be 100% until the last week or so (LO's almost 4 months), and now it's half of the time.
