Charlie helps me make an omelet for him in the mornings... he cracks the eggs, mixes them and spoons in a little grated cheese.
He loves it, and I think it actually helps him eat a bit better! The tradeoff is that sometimes he spills stuff and make it all a bit messier.

DD loves helping me cook! We even have matching aprons we wear. 
It is messier, but she loves measuring, pouring, and stirring. Last night, she helped me put biscuts on a baking sheet and put them in the oven, and then she "cooked" in her play kitchen, while I finished up the rest of the meal. She really enjoys it, though, and since I didn't learn to cook until about 20, I'm happy to see her starting with the basics at a young age!

We made blueberry muffins. She was great and only ate one blueberry at the beginning. It was a little messy just because she grabbed the bag from the wrong end. Afterward we downloaded the cupcake app on the iPad and now she virtually cooks. Can't wait to cook irl again.

we just made pizzas. it's fun for toddlers to put the toppings on and it's not too messy. i think it definitely does help them eat more.

yup LO is 2, she really enjoys it, and especially when we're making dinner, it's more fun for her to spend time with me helping, than playing by herself in her play area. even though it takes a little longer to get dinner done and messier, we both enjoy it. she likes to stir, put things i've cut up into a bowl, put dishes (hers) away.
