Our DD is only 3 months old and has probably over 100 books already. Does your LO have a lot of books?

DS has around 25 or 30 books. I'm hoping to add some more to our little library for Christmas.

I wish we had that many books! We probably have 20-30, but I'm sure we'll add a ton to that collection as DD gets a little more into reading. I try to read to her a couple of times per day right now, and she has very little attention span for it. She usually just wants to flip the book closed or all the way to its last page. We'll need more books soon though b/c I'm already getting bored with the ones that we have...

@skibobrown: I'm kinda getting bored with ours too, only because some of the ones we have are for when she is a bit older...right now we stick to mostly board books or shorter ones. I don't even know if she's listening anyway lol

So many. But he loves them all, and it's one thing I am always happy to buy.

@Bao: Yeah... sometimes I read the ones for older kids, just because I need to read something a little more interesting for myself! The board books are better for DD though b/c she can help to turn the pages without accidentally tearing them.

We have 20-30 but my LO just wants to EAT them these days _ I can't get through more than 2-3 pages before he lunges for them. Babies are weird

we have a lot, but charlie has outgrown all the board books, so our library needs to keep growing. we probably have about 30 that are his level now. we have a bunch that we don't read or received as gifts that i need to give away.

Lots! We asked for books for our baby shower, so we have a nice collection going. We continuously add to them when we visit our local used book store - great place to find books!

She has around 30 but I wish she had a lot more. She gets bored easily with books right now but I'm hoping she'll be more interested soon.
@sorrycharlie: I had so many books as a kid that it'd be a great collection but unfortunately the basement at my parent's house flooded when I was in high school and that was one of the ruined boxes.

LO has a ton of books, but many are for way into the future - like the entire Harry Potter collection. We asked for books at my shower, and LO’s first birthday is going to be library/book themed so she should get lots of new ones then. LO loves to flip through books, but we have to stick with board books for now since she tears pages and then tries to eat them!! :o!

I'm only ten weeks with LO and already he/she has over 20 books...I'm a HUUUUGE bookworm and every time I go to half-price books I check out the kids' clearance section...tons of books for just 1$!

She does! My ladies group had a book shower for her which was wonderful and got her a ton of new books. I love having a huge library for her to choose from!

She does, but we only have her board books out so it doesn't seem like too much.

Yuppers! for my shower we asked everyone to bring him their favorite childrens book instead of a card.

right now LO is 7.5 months she technically has 2 books but we can only find one of them. so she only has 1.
Guess I should be getting her more...
