My oldest does. She's in preschool and we have had a mild winter so it is her first one ever. She came into our room this morning saying she didn't want to go to school today (she has been sick) and I checked my phone and sure enough, the district is closed.

Nope – while it might be below freezing in Atlanta right now we definitely do not have any snow!

Uh, the only time daycare is closed is when a driving ban is in effect which means work will be closed as well. Not sure what we will do when she starts school!!

No. Neither did I. If she was in school, I would have driven her because it was way to cold to stand at the bus stop (Real Feel was 1F).

Nope. Thank God. If her school is closed it means our entire area is closed. Which means I have to take a PTO day. I'm really hoping that since we bought a sled this year that we will get no snow/ice. Fingers crossed.

no - but my kids are dying waiting for it to snow - I cant believe its the 2nd week in January and we haven't had 1 snowflake!!! very odd!

@avivoca: I think ours is technically a "cold day" since all the snow was Saturday but with wind chill it is -1 here today.

@Finfan: I honestly thought we'd get one but there was a ton of outrage last year about how many snow/cold days JCPS had. We follow the local university schedule at work and they just told everyone to be careful coming in at the normal time (it's cold and a little icy here).

nope, but we haven't had any snow here yet... which is very odd and very reminiscent of our terrible winter last year - so I am frightened that it will be another 110 inches of snow this February.

@Mrs.KMM: I keep hearing people say Atlanta metro has 2-3 snow/ice storms coming this year... I'll believe it when I see it!

@peachykeen: I would be ok with this as long as we don't have the same traffic issue as the 14 disaster. But snow days off work would be welcome by me!

@peachykeen: I would enjoy it! I am staying at home so I don't have to worry about getting to work and I would love for DD to be able to play in the snow. I grew up in Indiana so playing in the snow was a big childhood thing for me and I want her to be able to experience it!
