Charlie loves to hold our hand!
Well, most of the time. Sometimes he gets all independent and just wants to run around like a madman and not listen to me. It gets terrifying as he approaches the end of the sidewalk and I have to stop him from running into traffic! That doesn't happen too often though.
Does your LO hold your hand when you walk around town?

With the kids I have taken care of they are usually allowed to walk independently from about 2.5 on as long as they are not a kid that bolts and they have to hold hands to cross the street. The consequence of running off is needing to hold hands for awhile. Knock on wood we haven't had any issues with this policy. Usually around three they are allowed to ride their bikes but we spend a lot of time practicing the rules first.

Aww, that's so cute that Charlie loves to hold your hand! I remember holding my mom's hands forever... I can't remember when I stopped. Maybe when I was 8?

Most of the time yes, but if given the chance she prefers independence; now if she would only listen a little better it wouldn't be too big of a problem.

he used to until he became confident walking. now he pulls our hand away :(.

We are actively working on this. He has to hold hands when we tell him or he goes in the stroller/gets carried. He usually complies, but when he doesn't, it's not pretty!

When he's being shy, yes. Otherwise he pushes us away and runs off! I love when he does it though.

It depends, he likes to hold hands, but sometimes he wants to wander off but it's dangerous. Usually he listens and holds our hands. I love that.

DD is way too independent, lol. We only make her hold hands while we're in the street or a parking lot. She does like holding DS's hand, though, and sometimes she'll help me "carry" him in his carseat by holding onto the handle, so I guess that's something!
