Lately, M's favorite thing is pulling up. This occurs in the tub, as well. She wants to be standing at all times in the tub. The tub is not a super place for a wobbly stander!!!
Does anyone else's lo do this or did they? Did they get past it?

Yes! And knock all of the shampoo (etc) bottles into the tub. We bathe with him, so it's a little less nervewracking.

Yes! The first time he pulled up was in the tub! I'm constantly trying to sit him back down or letting my hands hover. Letting him fall back down go the floor is one thing but I'm so scared he'll crack open his head on the porcelain.

This is why I still bathe her in the baby tub set in the real tub. I'm so nervous to let her have a big girl bath.

This is why I took the baby tub out of the big tub and just started using the big tub only. He wanted to climb out of the baby tub and walk around. I just let him, I think it's more safe than fighting him to sit, which never ends well. I got a really plush and grippy bath mat so that he doesn't slip. It's been working fine so far.

DS started doing this sometime around 8 months maybe. He is 2 and still doesn't sit much. I also noticed that in kiddie pools he stays standing. I'm not sure why, but I guess he just doesn't like the sensation of being submerged in water.
We just let him stand in the big tub so it's like a mini shower. I thought about getting one of those detachable shower heads, but we just use a cup to pour water on him. Our tub isn't slippery but when we are at someone else's house, we have a in-shower mat so he doesn't slip.

@winniebee: I do too but it's still nerve-wracking, I can't imagine being out of the tub now with this going on....

Yep! Started around 9 months, and still going strong at almost 11 months. She's actually pretty steady now, but is learning to get her leg over the side....

Ugh yes- along with crawling which isn't really safe either. We are trying hard to get him out of this habit for obvious reasons.

@winniebee: Ha ha, no. But I should totally manufacture one and call it that! I think it's this one :

You can get them anywhere, though.

Yes! So annoying. Like @bree72, we use a bath mat. This is the one we have:
