We have a big dog so my LO has always liked bigger dogs. She used to be scared of little ones, but we've exposed her enough that she likes them now.

He loves all dogs, big and small. But there are 8 dogs he's regularly around, so I think he assunes that they're just part of the family.
We have good friends with a very old jack Russell who isn't very kid friendly. We visited the other day, and the dog could not get enough of my son. He wanted to play with him so badly and they were totally flabbergasted, because at best, the dog just ignores children.

Dd and our dog are BFF. She has seen lots of dogs, but only really interacted with ours. I'm hoping when we visit my parents next month that she'll take to my moms dogs too.

It always amazes me, when we are walking our dogs in the park, how many children start crying/whimpering/veering away when we walk past (with our two, on-lead, small dogs) and, equally, how many rush up to them and grab them without asking first or approaching safely. I think it's really important to teach children how to interact with dogs appropriately and expose them to dogs early on - for their safety more than anything!

Loves them. Squeals and almost hyperventilates when we see them. He is pretty cautious when up close to them, though.

She likes dogs and is obsessed with cats. We were at a food truck rally last night and she was squealing and pointing at this little wiener-dog so much that the man finally brought him over. LO was beside herself! She is very cautious with all animals up close, she is so far very good with "gentle touch" and not grabbing.

I have a standard sized dachshund. They didn't really notice each other for the first 3-4 months. Then all of sudden they were interested in each other. I think once she could sit up on my lap and she could see him and he could see her. Now at 8 months she thinks he's hilarious. She tries to stage dive out of my arms to grab him. Her grandpa also has dogs and she likes them too. Those dogs are bigger.

Yep, she crackes me up because we have 2 bigger dogs and so she isn't phased by dogs at all now. Our sitter has a teeny tiny 3lb yorkie who she loves just as much.

He surprised me when we were visiting my IL's, he had only seen bigger to medium dogs, but there are a lot of tiny dogs in their neighborhood, he still said "doggie." Of course he called the deer at the petting zoo a doggie too. Somehow he knows the difference between dogs and cats though.
