I think he's used to being around them because he doesn't know life without our two dogs. But he's more into bothering them or ignoring them more than loving on them... (he's 3 next month! :P)

She's obsessed! With all animals too. anytime we see a dog on the street or visit someone with a pet, she's all about them

DD1 (3.5) loves loves her doggie. She recently had a couple masses removed and dd was very very concerned about it. Every day that we come home, she goes up to our doggie and goes "ok, doggie, let's check your stitches." Then she happily reports to us that doggie didn't bite her stitches. BIL watched the dog for us for a few days while she was healing and dd got very upset that she was spending the day there.
DD2 tolerates her. she's one.

Yes. Her first real work was "dog," and "cat" wasn't far behind. Though she mostly calls everything a dog "dugh." She also says "woof." One of our cats loves her and she thinks he is her own personal stuffed animal. He lets her yank him around by the scruff and lately she's started attempting to pick him up.

DD is more curious. She loves following the dog, pointing at it, laughing at it, etc. She gets annoyed when the dog comes over to lick her and a little scared if the doggy is in the crazy playful/barking mode.

They are both warmly meh/mostly mutually indifferent about each other. LO likes talking to our cat and feeding her treats (and attempting to boss her around), and they certainly love each other in their own ways….but LO never tries to mess with the cat or really touch her, which is good since kitty doesn’t like being messed with. They leave each other alone.

We have three cats, and my son thinks they're awesome because they're the only thing in the house he gets to boss around. For a long time he thought they were all named Lola (one of them is) and would march around the house yelling "NO LOLA!" every time he saw one (in fact, when you said "What does a cat say?" he said "NO LOLA!") Right now he seems to be playing them against each other - for the last few days he's been really into Penny, wanting to pet her and chase her around, but this morning when she jumped up to see him he pushed her off the chair and said "I want more black Lola" (our third cat, Olivia). I think he likes to keep them on edge about who he'll love next.

A little too much! So much so, our dog high tails it in the opposite direction when he sees DS approaching. Sigh.

LOVES. I feel like the pets were a huge motivator for her to learn how to crawl, so she could follow them around.

She LOVES them! We have 3 dogs and 2 cats, and they are the best motivation for her to move or stay happy while I'm pumping (she's almost 9 months)
