She started playing more independently this summer. Listening to her play pretend is so awesome!

He had to learn to play independently starting at 6 months because I SAH, but had horrible morning sickness. Then it was reinforced as I entered the third trimester. There's only so much I can do with him (commence huge amounts of guilt) and so he's learned to play with cars, cans of beans, yogurt lids etc., on his own for periods of time. I do think it's a good thing in the end.

My daughter has always liked playing independently, she likes playing with us too but will usually be happy on her own
