Does your LO put their dirty hands in their hair when eating? Gah... Mine does and so her hair is just constantly gross. It's embarrassing because I don't have time to give her a bath after breakfast, lunch and dinner!
Any tips on discouraging this?

All. The. Time. Ugh. I just wipe her hair down with the wet washcloth before I wipe down her highchair.

YES!!! My first never did this, but DS does it all the time!!! He constantly has yogurt, mac n' cheese, etc in his hair and it ends up sticking straight out! I have no idea how to get it to stop.....

Yep, mine does this with yogurt and oatmeal. Sometimes, he grabs at his hair like a nervous habit, so I think that's part of it.

Yup, but only occasionally thankfully! It has resulted in more hair-washing then normal.

All the time! I don't get it! It mostly happens at dinner time thankfully, right before bath time.

Always! I try to catch and clean them whenever they get really icky but he's faster than me!

Haha yup, I just tell her no no and pull her hands away...but it's a losing battle.

Yes, but usually only when he's tired (mostly during dinner). I also usually save the really messy foods (like yogurt) for dinner, because he goes straight into the tub after anyway.

LO used to be really bad for this! Always had avocado in her hair. She doesn't do it much anymore though so I guess it is just another one of those phases.

@sunny: yep! Luckily she doesn't have much hair and I can usually catch her before she does it. It isgross though!

At almost 2, my LO does this significantly less than he used to. Hopefully they will all grow out of it.

Yes he does! It's the worst after dinner. His hair will be sticking straight up sometimes.

Ugh. YES! With everything. I feel like people will assume I don't bathe her! I could wash her hair after just about every meal if I had the time! Now when she does it I try to pretend I don't see. If I say something she just does it more! My husband was even saying we need to get her a hair net or something!
