Does your LO require you to C-hold your breast while they are feeding? Mine does otherwise she stops sucking. Is that normal?

LO is 4 months and gets distracted so I have to hold my breast to keep it in his mouth!

First 2 months I had to use both hands to nurse... now I need 1 or none LO is 3.5 months now.

I want to say it took a good month before I didn't have to use that.

@Mrsbells: It's a way you pinch (ok, technically hold) your breast so the nipple sticks out in the easiest-to-latch-on shape.

I hope this isn't the case for me. I have big boobs and little hands. I feel like my hand would cramp up!!

@MamaMoose: Mine did cramp up that whole first month! But he can latch on without me even touching my breast now (3 months old).

Only for the first two or three months. I remember how much my hands ached in the early days.
Now at 6.5 months, she's a pro and can latch on (and stay latched on) in random positions or in the dark
