Charlie gets sick a lot! One saving grace though, is that he loves to take his medicine. What a relief! Even if he has a very high temperature, he always open his mouth wide for an oral syringe of Tylenol. I guess he likes the taste or something!
Does your LO willingly take Tylenol, Advil or other oral medicine?

DD loves Tylenol/Advil. At one point, she told us every night that her teeth hurt, just so she could get some Tylenol before bed! Now, she tells us her tummy hurts, because we told her gummy vitamins are tummy medicine.

My husband loved pepto bismol as a kid. He would fake sick to get it and he always said his head and tummy hurt because he didn't know which one pepto was for!

@mamamoose: I used to LOVE pepto too! Tasted like bubble gum. Now it tastes pretty nasty to me but when I was a kid, I used to love it when my mom would offer me pepto.

@banana: I never had it as a kid (my mom is a big believer that stomach issues should be left to work themselves out!) but I tried it as an adult and hate the taste!! I do the chewable tablets : )

@mamamoose: She only gave it to me when I had diarrhea. My mom is a huge believer that diarrhea is like the worst thing in the world. hahaha. She could care less about other symptoms but was SUPER crazy worried when we had diarrhea for some reason. We could be hacking up green slimy mucus and she'd be like "ehhh drink some tea". But one little drop of diarrhea had her and us running to the ER!

Wagon Jr. loves his children's ibuprofen. We call it "yummy stuff" and he still takes it by oral syringe and loves it!

DS has been taking meds since he was a week old so he is great at it. One thing we really liked was a small medicine cup that had a nipple on it.

Luckily she hasn't had to take it yet! We used to have to give her meds for her reflux.... but she would just spit it out so it was pretty pointless.

the only "medicine" my LO takes orally right now is vitamin D and gripe water. she makes a face but she still takes them

We don't have to give a lot of medicine, but we're at the age now (17 months) where everything is a struggle. I've learned to put the syringe at the side of the mouth and usually he gets it down.
Eyedrops, those are another matter altogether. I don't wish that on my worst enemy!

DS does now. When he was an infant and had to take it, it was a fight. I used to have to sit with my legs on his arms and his head held between my thighs to get it in his mouth

My LO loves his Tylenol. He sees it and gets excited, even if he is sick. It's so cute.
