Our neighborhood has decent food nearby, but nothing great. I think the biggest failing is the lack of good ethnic food... there's tons of pizza and diners, but not a lot of great Thai or Korean food. Pretty much any ethnic cuisine you'd want is not really available.

Nope. There's a good mexican place, but that's it. No good asian food at all nearby. Oh wait, there's good sushi. Forgot.

Only one - Indian & middle-eastern! The town next to us has a tooon of amazing restaurants. But that's about it 
But we can get good ethnic food within a 30-40 min drive.

Unfortunately, no. My neighborhood has a million pizza and hoagie shops which is very boring.

Yes, we live in Little Italy in Chicago. But our neighborhood actually also has a lot of Thai, Greek, Mexican, and more ethnic foods all on the same street.

Hell to the yes!! One great thing about living in Portland Oregon proper is its a foodie town and good food is everywhere! There's even a Cambodian restaurant on our block which I am dying to try. Lots of Thai, Korean, Indian, Italian, Japanese, Mexican, Chinese, Lithuanian. It's really incredible. We even finally found good pizza and bagels which were a must because after living over a decade in New York City I was spoiled!
Oh and there are also several really good places to have Ethiopian food which I LOVE!!! It's so yummy!
I'm having a hard time thinking of a type of food we dont have here.

We have a decent amount. Within walking distance we have Indian, Chinese, Turkish, Greek, and Mexican.

Yes! Mexican, Indian, Korean, Chinese, sushi/Japanese, Mongolian, and Greek, off the top of my head. Theyre not "walking" distance, but all less than 10 minutes by car.

We have good Middle Eastern, pretty decent Mexican and Latin Caribbean, Caribbean, Ethiopian, Indian, and Southern/Soul Food within close walking distance. I wish we had better Thai.

We have Mexican, Polish, Russian, Greek, Thai, Middle Eastern, Soul food, Caribbean, and some more. I have only taken advantage of the Thai, Mexican, and the soul food. I'd like to branch out but some of these places are super authentic that I am nervous! I've heard we have a big Bangladeshi population, too. I have to research what's the best dishes to order.
