We live in a 3BR house and the two secondary rooms are roughly the same sq. footage. H's current room is a bit of an odd shape though, so we will probably move her to the one with the more square layout since her bed will be bigger.

Nope, when I found out #2 was a girl I told DH we were moving DS to the smaller room. I wanted the room with the bigger closet for my DD -

We moved DS to the smaller room at the same time as he got a new bed so he didn't care about the move.

DD has sooo many things in her closet and so happy she has the bigger one!

We moved Xander (our oldest) into the larger bedroom before #2 arrived. The smaller bedroom was already a neutral color, so we didn't have to repaint it, but we painted the larger bedroom before we moved Xander into it. We moved him when I was about 28 weeks pregnant, so he was totally used to his new room before the baby arrived.

One kid will have a much smaller room for sure. For this reason I'm considering having the kids share a room up till a certain point.

LO2 has the bigger room, but LO1 doesn't mind. He is comfortable in his space and would rather stay in his room than move into a bigger one. Plus it's right across from our room.

Our baby has the biggest room. Our master is next and LO1's room is smallest. Her closet is teeny tiny so we may need to switch it up as she gets older. Or maybe not.

Yes, our older son's room is larger. We might consider having them share in the future so we can get an office/guest room back.
