No and it annoys me. I ask what does he want, he says I don't know. Then after I go to the store and buy stuff, he is like I don't want that. He doesn't like to plan meals for the week either. So annoying. He says how I am supposed to know on Sunday what I want for dinner on Wed night?

I ask DH every night what I should cook. Most nights it goes like this:

Me: "Hey, DH..what do you want for dinner?"
DH: "I don't care."
Me: "Spaghetti?"
DH: "No, I'm sick of noodles. How about lemon chicken?"
Me: "Okay!"

I hate always having to come up with something, so I ask DH. He says he doesn't care, so I suggest Hamburger Helper, alfredo, spaghetti, Viola, etc. (something with noodles, which I know he doesn't care for) and he has to reccomend something else or he will get noodles.

This works out excellent, noodles are easy if he doesn't pick, and if he doesn't want noodles, he has to pick. He still hasn't figured out that i'm tricking him every night, so don't tell him.

Oh yeah definitely. most of them are recipes I've made before. But he suggested buffalo chicken salad once and that was good. He also requests regular chicken salad or mexican type dinners or certain types of meats.

We meal plan on Sundays and i usually have a bunch of ideas and he kind of picks/finalizes the decision.

If it happens, it's rare!

Our convo is similar to @MrsTiz except it ends midway...
Me: "What do you want for dinner?"
DH: "I don't care."

That's it.

Umm...he buys things at the store sometimes of what he wants, he cooks sometimes. Otherwise I ask what he wants, he usually says he doesn't care...I'll make a suggestion, then I'll get a yes or a no.

We normally trade off cooking, so he comes up with dinner ideas 2-3 times/week. He is pretty picky, so it works out. He gets EXACTLY what he wants on those nights, and on my nights the rule is he doesn't get to complain and if he doesn't like it he can quietly make himself something else.

When I ask DH for ideas (like when I'm making the weekly menu on Sunday) he never has any, but after I give him the menu to review he ALWAYS has some. He also likes to suggest making things that take way too long or are way too complicated for a weekday.

I ask him what he wants for dinner during the week before I go to the grocery store. He usually suggest 2 or 3 things. Quiche and chicken pot pie are frequently requested.
