What I mean is: has your SO's love for you grown over time, so it's now at its all time peak? Let's call that Category 1.
Or did he or she love you more in the past, and you can sense the difference? (Category 2)
For some reason, this is one of my favorite questions! I have been surprised by the number of people who have a Category 1 Love!

Our love has def grown. We're one of those super duper cheesy overly in love couples. I'm sure we're hated by lots of people lol. However, there are others who say they hope to have what we have and it's the best compliment out there.

Category 1 for sure.... and we expect to stay that way.
Our Pastors are a Category 1 kinda couple and it's so awesome to see how SMITTEN, yes SMITTEN, he still is over her. It's SO cute how he gets this goofy head over heels grin every time she's onstage or speaking... they've been married some 25 years or something like that.
^That's what DH and I both aspire to have.

We're definitely a category 1. I love my husband more and more as time goes on. He feels the same way.

We are are in category 1. Almost 4 years together (longest I've ever been with someone) and we are still lovey dovey. It's not consistent-more like spurts of growth but the love is still growing.
The other day I talked to someone who was married for 20 years and has been divorced for 7. And after make a few jokes about marriage being a disaster, he did say that the lovey dovey stage and the sex only goes away if you let it. As long as both people in the relationship are committed to growing the relationship, it will grow and you won't lose the spark.

I had never thought of it that way. At this point definitely category 1, but with kids on the way I am nervous about how things could change. I've seen couples once they add kids to the relationship seem stressed all the time and forget about the other person in dealing with the day to day craziness.
I think we have category 1 at this point because of the challenges we have been through together. Through job and money stress, we have proven that we can count on each other no matter what. He knows that no matter what I've got his back and vice versa. Hopefully it only stays on that track and grows stronger.

I would say we are category one. We are super affectionate.
Recently we were at a restaurant waiting for a table. And we happen to smooch and snuggle and the hostess said "alright you two lovebirds, your table is ready". And it was like the third time in the past couple of weeks that someone had said something about us being affectionate. So when we sat down my husband says to me "I feel like people think it's weird that we're in love. Isn't this how married people SHOULD act". I thought his response was perfect : )

Our love has definitely grown over the last few years, it;s matured with us. I don't know if we've reached the deepest feeling of love we can experience or not, because every time I think I couldn't love him more than I already do, I realize I just fell MORE in live with him.

I'd say category 1 for us. We've been through so much, especially the last year and it's definitely shown us how much we love and care for each other. Our love has definitely grown stronger because of everything.

Definitely category 1. It surprises me every day that I can love him even more than I did the day, week, month, year before. And I can definitely say that he's more in love with me than he was when we first started dating; now our relationship is much deeper and and just better all around.

not sure if anyone would admit to category 2 lol.
for now, it's category 1. i have a feeling it will increase with the amount of love we'll have for our 2 kids - more love in the family. we're 6.5 years and going strong! not that there haven't been ups and downs.

I'd say times change and even though we love eachother very much I need to be honest and say Category 2. well let me elaborate.
He worked hard to have me back 8 years ago. And was head of heels with me. For him I'm a category 2. For me, towards him it's a category 1.
Now that we have a child soon two it's a whole knew category. I mixture

It's cliche, but I think he loves me more as each day passes (with I don't like you days mixed in)... it's a deeper love with time. Category 1 for sure... and I can only imagine how he will be post-children. He's such a sentimental person as it is... that I can only see his love/appreciation growing as our lives progress

I feel more like a category 2. I don't know if that is true or not though. He doesn't talk about love very much
When we started to date, he tried so hard to get me, and then keep me. I could really tell how much he loved me. As time has gone on, he doesn't have to try as hard, so I don't "see" that love as much anymore. I am sure that it is there, but its not as visible to me anymore.
I feel a category 1 towards him though

I'm not sure. In the beginning its all new and exciting and learning about each other, the attraction, and that builds all the love. But now we're husband and wife with a baby on the way, so in love, we have a family now and that bond is so strong. I think both stages are equally intense but totally different.

We're category one but it feels like category two. We've grown closer together this past year because of everything we've been through. However because of that, and all the stress going on right now we don't show it as much as we should.
