Does your SO prefer your hair long or short? Do you take their preference into account?

My husband just told me last night he misses my short hair. I'll probably cut it soon.

He says he doesn't care either way. But then again he doesn't have much of an opinion on anything. Even if he hated it I'd keep it. My parents don't like it now and offered me money to cut it and I won't!

I don't think DH really has an overall preference. He occasionally tells me he misses my short hair & when it's short for awhile he'll miss it long.
I'm about ready to cut it again.... soon.

Long. When we met it was short & he didn't seem to care, but I grew it out & now he would not be happy if I cut it off (I cut 4-5" off last week and I think that's the most I could get away with, it's still pretty long though)

I know he prefers long but every time I talk about cutting it he doesn't really ask me not to. I usually grow my hair crazy long then chop it all off for Angel Hair so he's used to drastic changes

Long, but he loves it when I have it up (which I hate). He is loving this whole yoga pants, hair up scruffy pp look, it's hilarious.

Long. I think he'd still like it if it were shoulder length short (right now it's past my boobs) but I don't think he'd be a fan if I chopped it all off like Julia Roberts in Steel Magnolias.

long. i just got it cut the shortest i've ever had it and he kept on saying "its so short...its so short" with this weird smile on his face!!

Typical guy... Long. I do want to chop it off to around my chin. Haven't yet cuz of the hubs....

Long. I prefer it short - forces me to actually do something with it and it suits my face. I go through months of growing it out really long then chopping it all off. Love the shock factor. When I got married it was basically at my waist and I did a really short bob, LOVED IT but he complained constantly. Half the time I think I grow it out so I don't have to listen to the whining.

Long, but every time I ask him what I should do with my hair he says "whatever you like!"

Doesn't matter but he hates thick bangs on adults.

Long. Which is fine, cause I don't do a lot with my hair, anyways. Short hair seems like it might be more maintenance.

He doesn't have a preference. Just wants me to be happy with my hair!

Short. When we first started dating, I chopped my hair to my ears (on accident), and he LOVED IT. Now I keep it between my chin and shoulders, but it's longer when I straighten it.

Long for sure. He doesn't even like it as short as at my shoulder blades.

He doesn't mind. I have it cut a little above shoulder length (and it was mid back), and he likes it. I think he slightly prefers long but when we met my hair was super short. I had just cut all my hair and donated it!

Long, but I went through my early-mid 20s with super short hair that I could spike up so he's okay as long as I don't do that. I chopped 6" off before Christmas and he didn't notice!
I do take his preference into account. Plus we have a deal: I won't pixie-cut my hair again if doesn't shave off his beard and mustache. Sometimes I think he might like to but he won't because I love it so much.

He says he doesn't have a preference about length. He does about color though.

Long, although he's only known me with long hair. He's only seen short in pictures.

Long, but I like to get it chopped ever other year or so and he seems to be okay with it.

Long. I like it short I usually take his feelings into account (he's the reason I haven't done s major post- baby chop yet).

He likes it long, which is good because I like it long! I hate short hair on me... which is too bad because short hair is sooo much easier to take care of.

@tequiero21: Same here. I'd love to cut it but DH keeps asking me not to. Mine takes forever to grow, so that's also holding me back.

he'd never say it - he always says he likes it any way I do it. But I know he likes it better short. Anytime I've cut it short he's always complimenting me and taking pictures and being super lovey. Sometimes I wonder if it was a coincidence that he proposed not too long after I cut my super long hair into a short angled bob.
My hair has been really long for years now. I don't keep my hair in a certain length or style for anyone but me.

My hubby loves my hair short but I recently told him that I'm growing it back out. He didn't complain too much.

DH prefers my hair more short then long. Honestly I love my hair more short then long. I am considering cutting it shorter, DS has discovered pulling on it for fun.
