On the weekend, do you always plan to do an activity specially for your LO like going to the zoo, children's museum, play date, etc? If so, tell me what you do!
For us that is the exception rather than the norm, as we seem to always have errands to run and when we don't, we play at home. However I think we would like to try to change that and do 1 thing that is specially for LO's enjoyment.

Not always. We try to spend time together as a family. Sometimes that includes activities for LO and others it's just running errands or walking around the city. I do a few activities just for LO during the week, so I don't feel as much pressure on the weekend.

No. We do make it a point to have family time, but we have no intention to set the tone that our family time is all about her.

We used to stick to the playground, but with our daughter's sensory issues now we go on more activities... street fairs/festivals, trips to the park/zoo/botanical gardens, water features, nearby islands, etc.
It's a lot more physically demanding, since we have to use the double stroller when we're going long distances! But on the plus side, the double stroller lets us take longer trips and then stroller nap the kids on the way home. And trips are getting more fun as the kids get older...

It really depends. We tend to go outside a lot and go to the park, but we also do things that have to get done like laundry, cleaning, grocery shopping etc. But we enjoy doing things he enjoys! We worked out pre-baby and still do, just bring him with to the gym. He enjoys some of our activities like biking too.

We try to, even if it's something as simple as going to the neighborhood playground. Obviously we have to get stuff done like grocery shopping and cleaning up around the house, but I want her to have a little fun too.

Sort of. We try to come up with something but even if there's nothing outside the house going on, I always spend a ton of time with LO on the weekends.

We try to. The way we work it out is one parent gets to go do the activity with LO and the other does work or errands. Sometimes we are completely free and the weekend is all about her. Other times we are swamped.

Always, even if it's just something like the playground. It seems unfair to drag him around on errands all day without giving him a chance to run around outside (for my LO, anyway, who doesn't like being in the stroller/walking around the city, and would much prefer to have space to run around!).

Almost always. Park, play date, local toddler amusement park, zoo, museums, beach, cousin time. We usually do it in the morning. It seems like the weekend flows much more smoothly if LO gets some fun time in first. Plus mornings are easiest. ...and DH just announced we're off to the zoo!

No. Weekends for us consists of hanging out in the yard, taking a walk, errands, and occasionally visiting the ILs. We make it a point to spend family time, but at this stage, LO is completely happy just exploring the yard or visiting the playground, but we do that normally.

Yes, I always try. We do a swim class right now. We might try to hit up a playground or the Aquarium. Even if we go out to shop, do errands, or whatever, I try to find somewhere fun or interesting for her to look at things and walk around.

If DH is around, then yes I plan something. If it's just me, then I don't worry about it too much. We always end up at the park pretty much daily because my boys have tons of energy and if I don't let them take it out then they end up destroying the house..haha.

We don't necessarily plan stuff, but getting out to the park happens both weekend days. Our neighborhood farmer's market opened up today, so we went there, the the park.

We go to the park or play outside every weekend, but other than that, no. There really isn't a whole lot to do in my city, so to do anything exciting we have to drive a couple hours, and lately we just haven't felt like it!

Nope, but I'm a big believer that she can/should have fun alongside us as we work. We do try to make sure we are outdoors for a good chunk of the day, and involve her in projects/errands as much as possible.
If we have nothing on the agenda then we plan something for her- a trip to the playground or the kids' farm nearby.

Yep, we always hang out as a family on the wkends so we do lots of fun activities (park, beach, playground, zoo). Now that it's starting to warm up, we will spend more time outside.

We've been trying to aim for "outside" at least once a weekend. Like, hiking or a picnic. Now that it's finally getting nice, it's more possible. Less about her, specifically, more about the three of us being together, in the sunshine and air, getting some exercise, eating well.

Now that the weather is nicer I try to get out and do something. Our fallback is the zoo. It's nearby and we have a membership so I don't feel bad if we only stay like 30 minutes. I'm a homebody so I might be overcompensating.

Not really. I SAH and DH is home sometimes during the week so I'd say we do at least one outing specifically planned for lo's enjoyment per week, aside from classes. She's a pretty social gal and loves people watching so I honestly believe she enjoys being at like, the home depot garden center just as much as a playground sometimes. I mean, we go to playgrounds too, of course, but I think as long as I engage and stimulate her when we're out on errands it's all good.

Pretty much always. It's the rare weekend that we only do errands/activities that revolve around us...we usually save weekend errands/chores for naptime and after bedtime. DH works so much during the week so he always wants to do something fun with LO on the weekends. If we don't have plans to visit friends we are always doing some activity for her - zoo, children's museum, family swim, farm/fair (@sunny: check out remlinger farms - awesome for little ones - pony rides, antique cars to drive, little steam train, little canoe ride - it's for kids under 5 years old), local events (sesame street live, touch a truck event)...sometimes we go to a play cafe and sit and drink coffee while she plays.

Nope! We try too but sometimes things come up. We are starting swim lessons in June so every Sat morning all summer we will be swimming for her.

Always. But it's like @Greentea: said, it's things we enjoy doing too. Some activities that we rotate heavily are the zoo, technical museum, parks, kid friendly restaurants, play dates (but I only do weekend play dates if I like the parents 
), swimming, museums, etc. We live in a city and take our LOs everywhere!

I'm struggling to decide if we do or we don't..... in that we always make the effort to get out of the house and see other people (E loves meeting people) but whether that's completely for E's benefit I don't know....! Currently, most of the activities we choose are not specifically for kids - going to a coffee shop, having lunch out, going to the pub garden - but we do try to meet people there that either have kids her age or we know she likes.

Sometimes. It just depends on what there is to do. If there's nothing else to do, then I like to do something that's fun for the kids to do so they don't go nuts on us. Ideally, we would do something fun for all but that's not always the case.

My son is three, he had been in daycare up until last week and I tried to give him downtime on the weekends, he needs to catch up on rest just as much as we need to. I find the weekends to be jam packed with people and given how much we're around others during the week, I don't feel like we need to be battling crowds.
We're attempting to make our home as child friendly as possible, so we don't have to be commuting or driving around on the weekends, so we're installing a play structure and we have a pool.

I have a standing date with my LO where we I take her to ride a pony every saturday morning. It's a great way to start the "no daycare day" and she gets excited. It's jut mommy and LO time. Plus afterwards we go ride the carousal and play in the playground that's also there. By the time we come home, it's lunch time and then nap time. When she wakes up we either chill at home or we go run errands with daddy and eat dinner out together. But at least she had a her fun in the morning.

We actually made a point this summer to do something "fun" with LO once a week/weekend. Swimming, park, ice cream date, museum, zoo, ect. It will hopefully be our last summer as a family of 3 so we want to make it special. AND it helps her burn off some energy

We will make an effort this summer to do this when she is a bit older. At 9m she kinda just takes along to whatever errands DH and I need to run on weekends. We take her out for dinner, go for walks sand visit with the grandmas, but we don't plan activities centred around her yet. I imagine in the summer we will go to parks and the beach.

We always do. It's usually something simple like the park, a play date, or a hike/long walk. We usually take the dog along too, since we don't get to do much with her during the week.

usually--this past weekend, we went to a playground on one day and then the other day we had a play date (although that is for me also to get some social interaction). our other activities are "family" ones, like going out to eat, walking around and window shopping, walking the dogs, etc.
