I'm loving some kids items at Zara right now but the price is a little above my comfort level. Does Zara every have good sales? Anyone know the approximate sale schedule?

Funny, I almost asked this question yesterday! I ended up caving and ordered a couple things anyway (for me). Gonna follow this for future, though

They occasionally have good sales online (not sure about the schedule) but I think it's pretty picked over. More women's stuff than kids.

I have seen great clearance in store and gotten some super cheap stuff, but I don't go there very often. Have never shopped the baby department, either. Maybe if you stalk the items you want every few days you'll see them go down!

@Arden: I have one romper from there and just know that the rompers DO NOT have snaps for diaper changes. So you have to take the whole thing off. Pretty sure R is never going to wear it.

they do have end of season sales, but most of the cute stuff is gone.

@Arden: Just thought of you since I got an email this morning about a Zara sale.

@Mrs. Bee: I've never ordered anything from Zara. Do you find that it runs big, small, or true to size?
admin / watermelon / 14210 posts
@lawbee11: depends. the pants have been big on olive but she is slim. everything else -- tops and dresses have been pretty tts.

@BananaPancakes: Sale... oh no, I'm doomed!!
For us, the sizing on dresses has been generous. My DD is almost 6 but there is a size 4-5 dress that I bought that is still falling off her shoulders and cut really wide (but ok for length because she is tall). Another size 5-6 dress has been a great fit but we'll still probably get another year's wear out of it! But she is a kid and not a toddler so maybe it's not quite the same as for babies and toddlers.

@Mrs. Bee: @T-Mom: Thanks! Had to get this for M for the fall

@lawbee11: That's so cute, I'm drooling.. you like the strawberries, don't you?
admin / watermelon / 14210 posts
@lawbee11: haha you are strawberry obsessed!
i bought a bunch of stuff last month before everything went on sale... contemplating returning everything!
honeydew / 7488 posts
@Mrs. Bee: Yes!! Return and re-buy!
I'm trying to be good.. I don't know why I can't resist white dresses.. they are like stain magnets, too!
The shoe sizing is crazy for me. I bought my DD two pairs of shoes last year during this sale in her current size at the time and they are still wayyy too long.

@Mrs. Bee: I know, it's bad. There are HB users that will post strawberry stuff to my wall and say, "Does M have this yet??" I can't help it! @smurfette sent me that Zara strawberry outfit a few days ago and I was doing so well resisting temptation but now it's on sale so had to pull the trigger

So, yeah . . . not 10 minutes after I saw the latest posts to this thread, I bought LO 4 dresses and 5 tees . . .

@MsLipGloss:
@lawbee11: Don't blame this one on me! Or your DH will hate me!!
I wish they had stuff for fall. I really don't need to buy her any more summer stuff.
GOLD / pineapple / 12662 posts
@Smurfette: I didn't buy a whole bunch of summer stuff because LO wears uniforms to daycare Monday-Thursday. DH has no idea how much that has saved us!
Of course, I am also in the process of buying her the next shoe size up, too.

If you have a specific item(s) you're watching you should use hukkster.com
Basically you go to the website of the thing you want and then click a 'hukk it' button (have to download it, similar to a 'pin it' button) and you'll get an email notification when it goes on sale. Sometimes it seems like there is a delay, so if something goes on sale you might not know until the next morning, but in general it works really well

@Smurfette: Nah he knew what he was getting into when he married me
@MsLipGloss: I want to see pics of the dresses you bought!
GOLD / pineapple / 12662 posts
@lawbee11: The first 4 are the ones I just bought (2 slightly dressy, 1 casual, and 1 more white/cream option in addition to the other Zara dress I bought last week). The last one is the dress I bought last week. *hangshead*

And now that I see these all together, I am thinking I should have gotten her another pink slightly dressy/casual option! : /

@MsLipGloss: LOVE them all! I haven't been buying dresses for M cause she's not walking yet and it's hard for her to crawl in them, but once she starts walking it's on!!
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@MsLipGloss: those are goregous!! With her eyes, they are going to look amazing on her!

You people are terrible influences. I just bought two dresses for the wedding weekend in August.

@lawbee11: @Smurfette: thanks y'all . . . my co-conspirators/PIC (partners in crime)!

@Arden: That just sounds like excellent strategic planning to me!

I hate you all! These outfits are all SO adorable, but E doesn't need any clothes so I'm going to back away slowly....

@MsLipGloss: Those are adorable!!
@Arden: Let's not forget who started this thread, ahem
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@Espion: Maybe tag Mrs. Bee. She probably would know

Dude I could have bought myself a pair of wedges with the money I just spent on dresses she doesn't need. And she has enough dresses. I do not have enough shoes. I need to block the mini style boards.
