I'm eating my last slice of birthday cake and I feel REALLY sad.
I gave away SO much! If I hadn't, I'd have enough cake to last at least another 3 weeks.
Woe is me.
I told DH to remind me NEVER to give leftover cake away.

I was totally thinking of getting Five Guy's for lunch!! I think we're going to do ramen + sushi though. Maybe FG for dinner..?

@chopsuey119: I thought you were going to say your dh gave away the cake. Between that and the doctor visit, I thought he was in the dog house! Glad it was an innocent mistake though.

@artbee: did you freeze your top tier of wedding cake? we did, and I'm so so excited to eat it. But I'm secretly terrified it's going to be gross. I wrapped it in several layers of saran wrap, and it's in a air tight container..lol.

My favorite cakes are from Venieros in NYC! I LOVE their Napoleons. When I was home my brother/SIL stood in line for an hour to bring me TWO big slices. hahah

I'm going to have to try this Costco cake you're all talking about! They also have these mini red velvet cupcakes that are SO good, but I don't buy them anymore because I have no self control and can easily eat 8+ in a day.
What do you guys get at Five Guys? Going for the first time for lunch tomorrow!

oh yummy! They pretty much have burgers, fries and onion rings and that's it. They have a decent amount of toppings for their burgers.
Be forewarned that their small fries is actually quite huge! -

How sad. I was eating the LO's bday cake up to 4 months later. I kept it. YES!

I love cake! We didn't think the top of our wedding cake would freeze very well (we had a rainbow cake!) so we wrapped a quarter of it up and took it on our honeymoon. I ended up eating it all in like 1 week, and then was very sad when I ate the last bit.
I'm considering having our caterer make us another rainbow cake for our one year anniversary
Also, I *heart* 5 guys, I'm so sad they don't exist where I am

speaking of strawberry shortcake, the one at Whole Foods is so yummy... the cake is perfect, the strawberries very fresh, and the whipped cream icing... nice and light. Delicious!!! We had it for DD2's baptism a few months ago and I can't wait for another excuse to have it again!!

I hate giving cake away! I ate my baby shower cake leftovers (mango cream) for a week!
