I posted another thread about how I let my 3 year old keep a bandage on too long, and the skin underneath got super irritated. We took her to the pediatrician on Friday, and the doctor thought it looked like she may have reacted poorly to the material of the bandage itself, and had some signs of a topical infection. She gave us a prescription for an antibiotic ointment with a different active ingredient than the OTC ones. DD's wound looks much better!

On Friday, I pointed out to the doctor some red bumps that were in the area around the irritation/infection. She said they looked like heat rash. While the primary wound site looks a lot better, the bumps have seemed to spread and intensify. Now, a lot of them have white heads on them. When I Google rashes, they look most like the pictures of chicken pox blisters, but are definitely spreading out from the site of the wound/infection. Any ideas what this is? Do I need to take her back in?
