Who has had luck with dream feeds? I did it once at 11:30pm, but i still ended up waking up at 2:30am, and then 4:30am for feeds. A part of me doesn't want to do a dream feed JUST in case tonight could be the night she sleeps through the night. HAHA.

We always do them. We used to put DD to bed around 10:30. Then once we started putting her to bed earlier, we didn't want that to mean that we would have to wake up an extra time to feed her in the night. So we continued feeding her at 10:30 as a dream feed, once she was already asleep. It works well for us! Baby sleeps all the way from 7:30 until 5 AM, with a dream feed around 10:30.

I do about half the time- he goes to bed between 9-10pm, I will pump and head to bed around midnight. If I don't top him off, it is hit and miss whether he will sleep all night through.
If he looks like he is getting lighter, I will take some of the pumped milk in a bottle and feed him while he lays there. After feeding him, I know he will sleep clear to 7ish in the morning (he is 5 months) I hate just falling asleep, and hearing him start to kick and move around, I know crying will soon follow.

I do a dream feed with DS. He goes to bed around 7:30 (although lately he's been asleep before 7) and I feed him at about 9, before I go to bed. He's three months and usually wakes 1-2 times during the night (at 2 am and sometimes around 4 am) for another bottle. If I don't do dream feed, he's usually up at 11:30/12, again at 3, and sometime a third time at 4.
Right now, I'm trying to wean him of the dream feed. I'm basically just reducing his bottle by 1/2 ounce every few days, so hopefully he won't need it anymore in a couple weeks!

Not sure if last night was a success but i did a dream feed with DD at 11:15pm (i ran upstairs as soon as i saw skibobrown's post!) who had gone down at 8pm. She ended up waking up at 2:30am and 6am before waking up at 8:15am for the day.

Sawyer will not "dream feed", he gets soooo cranky when you try to feed him when he hasn't "asked" for it! I tried it once and ended up with an epic 90 minute melt down.

I did this with my son at around 3 or 4 months of age. We put him down at 7:30p and did a dream feed (with a bottle) at 10:30p and he was able to sleep MUCH longer. I tried BFing him during the dreamfeed but found that he would just wake up. The bottle was much easier because we just ever so slowly put it in his mouth without waking him up.
