Hoping someone else has experienced this and turned it around.. One side is barely producing milk... Like one ounce after 30 min of pumping and the other side is giving 4-5 oz. I only feed on one side at a time and LO has been fussy on the side that's not producing as much, so I give her both sides. I'm taking MMP, but not seeing a change. Pumping more often isn't an option (I take 3 pump breaks at work, including going to nurse her at lunch)
Anything else I can do?

No advice, but my left side is basically dry. No idea why, but I'm in the weaning process, so I'm not too concerned, weird though!

My left is practically dry too and never produced as much as the right. I think it's totally normal, annoying but normal.

This happened with DS. In hindsight, I think I should have seen an LC about it because my supply dried up shortly thereafter!

Mine was like that but after a month of pumping regularly at work they evened out.

A dear friend of mine has one dry side. She wasn't pumping much from it, baby wouldn't nurse from it, so she let it dry up. With that said, her other side totally took over, and she's consistently getting 4 ounces from it (she also struggles with overall low supply). I would talk with an LC, for sure. It might be something you can't help, but I bet if there's a fix, a great LC is the key!

@Danizaur: that's what I'm hoping - that's why I've been pumping it for 30 min after it nothing comes out... hoping to stimulate it to make more.

@BabyBoecksMom: Are you doing a single or double pump? I know that pumping both sides at the same time can increase prolactin levels. Also, your good side is producing a great amount of milk!!! Don't worry that you'll dry up, it sounds like it'll be just fine.
ETA: Talking with a hospital or LC about renting a hospital grade pump (about $50/month) would be an idea. The pumps cycle a little differently, and I always had more success with them.

@BabyBoecksMom: I think PPs' idea of seeing an LC is good. I made it 13 months on just one side (16 months total). I wouldn't recommend it, but it's possible if things don't work out with your low producing side.

Are you massaging that side while you pump? My right side will only give me .5-1 oz unless I help it out. Then I can usually get 2+.

@Vegmama: Agree with getting a hospital grade pump, like the Symphony that has a let down button.
@futuremama: I second doing massage while pumping. Also put a warm pack on 5-10 mins before you pump.
Have you ever heard of "power pumping"? Its basically like when a baby cluster feeds so it boosts your supply: pump your dry side for 5-10 mins, every 30 mins for 2 -3 hours. Do that once a day for a few days in a row. Just put your pump parts in the fridge between pumps so you don't have to wash them over and over.

Also make sure your LO feeds from your low production side every feeding to help stimulate more milk.
