Lately a final short nap and a later bed time as been better for us!
Last night was the first night she STTN in a few days and she fell asleep for her last nap at 630. I woke her up at 715, gave her a bath/bottle and put her right back down again at 8.
The other nights this week we put her down early and she had multiple wakeups...

I would probably just try for a normal bedtime or if you start your bedtime routine at 7 maybe start *it* early & go to bed at 7. Your lo is around 7 months right?... I think at that age I would be okay pushing a 5 hr wake time in occasional instances, especially since she just woke from a 2+ hr nap. Unless of course your lo is obviously tired & cranky before that then maybe try and early bedtime..

I'd skip a last nap and go to bed at the normal time, like @runsyellowlites:

I'd skip a nap - for my LO he ends up crankier than if he doesn't sleep at all. He normally wakes from his nap around 230 and goes to sleep around 630 without complaint or too much fuss.

Ahhh ok...think I'm gonna skip a short cat nap and put her down maybe a half hour early if she gets fussy or just do normal bedtime. I am always so nervous about her being overtired but well see how tonight goes. She took 2 great, long naps today so I'm hoping that'll help. If not, then ill know for next time

@highwire: wow! She was ready for bed only 45 mins after waking up at 7:15? I feel like my lo would need at least 2 hours to be ready for bed!

@NovBaby1112: She was not happy when I woke her up! She just wanted to go back to sleep. But she NEVER STTN if she falls asleep at 630. That little wakeup in the evening prevented a wakeup in the MOTN.

Sometimes LO takes a 3rd nap late in the day, usually a short one, only 30-45 min, and I will put him down a little bit later than normal.
Some days he takes that nap and still seems fussy so I put him down the normal time and he goes right to sleep -- so I guess it depends!

LO just went down for a catnap at 4pm. She'll only sleep around 30 minutes anyway, but she always seems to take one beginning anywhere from 4-5pm. I don't worry unless she's pushing a 6pm start time.
