our company has an unofficial policy of letting everyone leave early (noon - 2pm) on days before long holiday weekends.
i'd leave now; but have a 130 conf call, but after that I'm out!

I work in the financial industry so they normally let us go once the market closes. Hoping today won't be an exception!

Yeah, we generally get let out between 1 and 3 on fridays before holidays but we never know until they send an email. I'll take it though!

@Alivoo01: Same here... but I have a client coming in at market close! UHHHH. I couldn't exactly tell her no just because I want to go home early. She just needs to sign some docs in front of our notary so hopefully it will be speedy and then I can hit the road!!

We're finishing up all of our assignments for the day...so I expect we will be able to get outta here pretty quickly. But we are at the mercy of the boss who may or may not let us leave when we want to
But that is the case every single Friday, holiday or not. I almost always get off early (between 2 and 4) every single Friday.

I actually ended up with today off, but have to put in about 5 hours tomorrow. After that, Hubs and I'll have 2 full days off together. That hasn't happened in a while.

@Alivoo01: It is pretty cool! Except it is sort of impossible to plan anything for Fridays because I never have any clue whatsoever as to when I'm getting off. He basically gives us a 15 minute warning, like "okay it is 2:45, everyone feel free to leave at 3".

My manager is out for the day but he told me to "not stay too late". Unfortunately, our team NARC is the only other person in the office and if I left before 2 she would totally tattle on me. She is a miserable person. So I'm leaving at 2:05 for good measure.

No-I wish! It's pretty relax and it's a ghost town here today but if I left early I have to use PTO. Which I don't have. So I'll be here till 5.

I'm a sahm so there's no getting off early for me. My husband sometimes has short days (3 hours) and sometimes long (12-14 or overnight). We're hoping today will be a long trip (between 8 and 12 hrs) because once he gets off he'll be off for 48 hours and we'd like to have that go as long as possible into Sunday.

We rarely if ever get to, but that's OK -- we have a customer support team that needs to be here to take calls and they don't believe it's OK to let some people leave early and not others. Which I agree with! So I'm fine with staying until 6

My boss is on vacation and I'm pretty sure I'm going to close the office early. There are only two of us today and it's BEAUTIFUL out.
