Anyone introduce a potty pretty early? We've had a potty in LO's room for about 6 months now (she's 12 months). We have been pretty relaxed about it, and will sit her on it after naps (when we think about it). Now that's a year old, I'd like to stay relaxed about it, but like the idea of getting her more comfortable with it. I have a feeling that around 18-20 months, we'll care a bit more.
Anyone have success with early potty training (again, I don't have many expectations here)? I'm looking at it from an EC standpoint (getting her comfortable, watching for cues, using cues on my end for letting go).
I'd love any tips or advice!
DH always has him sit on the potty before bath time, and when he pees in the bath tub he talks to him about the fact that he is peeing. A week ago he put LO on the potty and asked him if he could put his pee in the potty...and he did! He did it the next morning, that night, and then a couple more nights this week. We aren't pressuring him and if he doesn't want to sit there we don't make him. We have a new baby coming in a couple weeks so we aren't ready to "potty train" but its fun to see him interested! I was floored that he just peed in the potty like it was nothing! LO is 22 months.
She's still wearing pull-ups to bed. Not ready to pull that trigger yet. She's day trained though!
