My twins are 22 months old and have always been early wakers. Always. For a short time they slept until 6:30am but that was oh so long ago...they wake at 5:45 on a great day but 5:00-5:30 most days with the occasional 4:45 thrown in. It is just too early sometimes. Hubby and I get up at 5:30 for work most days so I don't know that there's a lot of hope for them...but it would be nice to sleep in once in a while on a weekend. Their bedtime is 6:30 and I KNOW the obvious thing is to put them to bed later, but it seems like we have tried to do that and they wake up just as early. Any advice? Prior to the time change we put them down at 7-7:15 for a week straight and were rewarded with 4:45 wakeups. I guess my questions are--how do you adjust bedtime, really? Am I stuck with early wakings? Other info--they have darkening curtains and a sound machine.
